Thai Airways is the national carrier of Thailand, with its main hub operating out of Suyarnabhumi Airport. Thai Airways is a founding member of the Star Alliance network and has its head office based in Chatuchak, Bangkok. Thai International Airlines currently owns and operates a fleet of 81 aircraft. The airline also has a further 16 aircraft on order. The airline’s fleet consist mostly of Airbus A330-300, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 777-200, Boeing 777-300 and Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
Carry on baggage
The carry-on baggage allowance is one piece per traveller. Carry on bags may not meigh more than 7kg.
Checked baggage
The maximum luggage weight for passengers in all classes is 32 kg. First and business class passengers are allowed two bags that may weigh up to 32kg combined. Economy class passengers are allowed one checked bag with a maximum weight of 23kg.
For international flights, Thai Airways recommend you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight. Flights close 30 minutes before departure. For domestic flights, Thai Airways recommend you arrive at the airport at least 1 hour before your flight.
