TAAG Airlines is also known as TAAG Angola Airlines and it is Angola’s national flag carrier. This airline has been in existence since 1938 and the Angolan government owns 100% of it. It used to be known as DTA Diviso de dos Transportes Aereos, then DTA Linhas Areas de Angola and then the airlines name changed to TAAG, its current name, in 1974.
